  • AAPG/Datapages – electronic publishers for the geosciences. Obviously, the collection includes AAPG publications, but the list of other collections being added continues to grow.

  • OnePetro.org – a multi-society library that provides a simple way to search for and access a broad range of technical literature related to the oil and gas exploration and production industry. From one place, you can search and buy documents from many different professional societies, or similar organizations , that serve the oil and gas industry.

  • American Geological Institute’s GeoRef database – comprehensive bibliographic database (more than 2.8 million references). Database covers the geology of North America since 1785, includes references to all publications of the U.S. Geological Survey, and masters’ theses and doctoral dissertations from U.S. and Canadian universities. More than 3,500 journals are regularly reviewed to maintain the bibliographic database.

  • Information Bridge: DOE Scientific and Technical Information – free public access to full-text documents and bibliographic citations of DOE research report literature, primarily from 1994 forward.

  • Gas Technology Institute – GTI offers a range of technical reports, journals, brochures, publications, maps, and software products that report on past and current GTI research activities and provide informations and tools for various energy markets.

  • OilRef – a proprietary (for fee) searchable database of previously published work on the petroleum systems relevant to a region, basin, or field. Updated weekly, OilRef draws on hundreds of sources to bring users a comprehensive searchable list of petroleum geochemistry references.
