Highlight: Liquid Ring Field Compressors, Simple &
Rugged
Simple, rugged liquid ring compressors prove reliable for field compression of
marginal oil and gas wells. Service liquid, not air, serves as coolant. Pull
strong vacuums, discharging into low pressure gathering system. Extensive
experience in the Panhandle, and other areas. Some suppliers offering two-stage
units to extend capabilities. Suppliers, not necessarily all inclusive, include:

Nine Awards, $10 Million Addressing
Production/Environmental Issues
The nine projects receiving awards within DOE's Oil and Natural Gas
Environmental Program concentrate in two primary areas--access to resources on
federal lands and "produced water" management. Projects by the Interstate Oil
and Gas Compact Commission (IOGCC) and Groundwater Protection Research
Foundation deal with federal lands. The remaining seven projects by IOGCC,
Colorado School of Mines, New Mexico Tech, Oklahoma State University, Texas A&M
University and University of Texas at Austin (2 projects) target produced water.
Brief On-line Survey — DOE has worked with Gulf Publishing/Gelb
Consulting to develop an on-line survey about its Oil Program R&D and
technology transfer programs.
Take just a few minutes to
complete the survey and do your part to shape DOE's program.

CBM Insights—An Online CBM Symposium
To keep up with the latest thinking and developments in a
field it is necessary to attend symposia and conferences. Unfortunately
presentations given at the symposia are not generally available to those unable
to attend. To make presentations available PTTC's Rocky Mountain Region has
initiated this site to post insightful presentations.
